SEMM Day 1

The Bay (no name yet) is really poor and weak.  We will have to pour the feed to him.

The Gray "Snake Farm" is thin but has some action.  I am really excited about him.  His head is really long.  He reminds me a lot of Boggle!

SEMM Pick up

Tate, Kirk, Cam, Heath and Emily left Friday morning about 4:30 to Canon City, Colorado.
Kirk's truck broke down just outside of Canon City and they took it into the dealer there.  Prognosis is not good.  Tate called Julie and Ross to bring the Dodge on a flatbed to rescue "The Utah Wild Bunch."  Ross, ShaLane and Julie drove all night and arrived in Canon City about 4:30am.  The Loaded Kirk's truck onto the flatbed and hocked the dodge onto the trailer and went to the prison to pick-up 9 horses.  The BLM wouldn't let them leave the lead ropes on the halters so went the came back to the hotel the did a lot of adjusting and got all the horses tied in. When we arrived in Vail, Colorado on our way home someone decided to try and feed their horse.  Sure enough they were HUNGRY!!!!!  Eating dry oat hay from the back of the truck, grass from the side of the road, a mentos candy and even a slice of pizza.  We arrive home around 7 pm on Saturday and had to play a little.

Q.T.

We picked QT up in September on our way home from the Supreme Extreme.  I fell in love the first day.  I am normally not a fan of having mares around but she grew on me pretty quick.

I lost quit a bit of time working with her because I was working with Cattoor Livestock on and off all fall.

She started to make me a little nervous around the end of December because she just wasn't progressing at the pace we neede d to to get ready for the show in January but she finally turned the corner and we started to get really excited.  She was the type of horse that need 3 rides a day.  She just did better as time went on and she was tuned in.
